| On June 3, 1929, a bomb exploded in an uncompleted apartment building at 3056 North Meridian. Extensive damage was done to floors, walls and piping in the building, which was being erected - on a non-union basis - by Arthur Baynham and Company. Reports indicated that the explosion might have been in retaliation for the company using non-union labor to complete tasks over which local unions had jurisdiction. | ||||
