Description |
|||
| Virulently anti-union organization of Indianapolis business leaders. The organization led local efforts in the first half of the 1900s to establish business on an anti-union basis and claimed to have originated the phrase "The American Plan" to refer to their union-busting efforts. Andrew J. Allen was the long-time secretary for the organization. Allen kept meticulous notes and meeting minutes, leaving a disgraceful - though useful to historians - record of the organization’s tactics, both legal and otherwise. | ||||
